Charles Wuorinen's TRIO FOR BASS INSTRUMENTS was written between 3 October and 13 November 1981 . It was commissioned by the tuba player, David Brainard, to whom it is dedicated. Cast in the form of a single movement, the work is 8-minutes long. A recording of the work is available on Naxos.
